Aoife D’Arcy
CEO and Co-Founder
Aoife is a business founder, author, and mum and has a passion for developing data-driven solutions that deliver business impact. For more than 20 years Aoife has evolved her expertise in the areas of data science, machine learning and artificial intelligence, along with developing an impressive record of delivering first-class training and mentoring.
Aoife founded Krisolis in 2009 to pursue her passionate belief in the importance of developing in-house data talent within organisations. Aoife works with organisations to help them build world-class data science, machine learning, and AI teams and processes, through a unique mix of training, consultancy and mentoring.
Aoife is a co-author of the textbook “Fundamentals of Machine Learning for Predictive Data Analytics: Algorithms, Worked Examples & Case Studies” published in 2015 with MIT Press. This widely used textbook, now in its 2nd Edition, has been translated into Chinese, Korean, Japanese, and Russian and has sold more than 30,000 copies worldwide.
Dr. Brian MacNamee
Director of Training and Co-Founder
Brian is an experienced academic, entrepreneur, author, and passionate educator. Brian is a co-founder of Krisolis and has committed his career to teaching and knowledge sharing. Brian oversees the development of our training courses, ensuring they’re grounded in the latest academic research.
His research interests lie in artificial intelligence, machine learning, predictive analytics, and data visualization. Besides his entrepreneurial ventures Brian is an established academic, experienced in the application of research and theory in real-world scenarios with a proven record in bringing the benefits of cutting edge research to commercial applications.

Dr. Eoghan Staunton
Senior Training Consultant
Eoghan is a seasoned researcher with a passion for data-driven intelligent systems, visualization, and mathematics. Eoghan is known for his ability to demystify complex data, science, and maths concepts, and excels in making these subjects accessible and engaging to a wide audience.
With a robust research background focused on dynamical systems, network analytics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning, Eoghan has authored multiple high-impact research papers. His academic skill and practical experience converge to foster innovative solutions and knowledge dissemination.
At Krisolis, Eoghan is dedicated to leveraging his extensive research experience to enhance client engagements. His work is not just about advancing technology but also about training and mentoring teams to harness the power of data to achieve their strategic objectives. Beyond his professional pursuits, Eoghan is actively involved in coaching sports teams and brings this experience to his work at Krisolis.
Dr. Mark Belford
Training Consultant
Mark stands out as a dedicated educator and mentor with a deep-rooted passion for Computer Science and AI. From an impressive journey through both academia and industry, Mark has developed a unique ability to bridge these often disparate worlds, bringing a practical, insightful perspective to his teaching, mentoring and consultancy roles.
Mark has extensive academic and industry expertise in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Machine Learning. These are fields in which he has not only earned a PhD but also has numerous peer-reviewed publications. Mark’s academic abilities and practical experiences combine to cultivate innovative solutions and effective client engagement.
At Krisolis, Mark dedicates his time to steering the next wave of talent in data science and AI. His commitment to skills development is not just about imparting knowledge, but about inspiring a deep understanding to Krisolis clients, preparing them to excel in an ever-evolving technological landscape and apply their knowledge in their organisations.
Nina Copeland
Operations
Nina is the backbone of Krisolis, expertly managing the business operations and ensuring the smooth execution of day-to-day activities. Her role encompasses overseeing training logistics, financial management, and administrative functions, making her an essential part of the Krisolis infrastructure.
With a keen eye for detail and a commitment to efficiency, Nina ensures that all aspects of the organisation run seamlessly. Her organisational skills and ability to coordinate multiple facets of the business simultaneously have been instrumental in maintaining the high standards for which Krisolis is known.

Katie’s proactive coordination with instructors and stakeholders helps maintain the high standards of Krisolis’s educational offerings.
