Our AI programme wins “Digital Skills Initiative of the Year” at 2024 Public Sector Digital Transformation Awards
On October 10th, Krisolis was honoured to receive the prestigious “Digital Skills or Talent Initiative of the Year” award at the 2024 Public Sector Digital Transformation Awards. This recognition celebrates our Certificate in Foundations of Artificial Intelligence programme, developed in partnership with the Technological University Dublin (TU Dublin) and supported by the Department of Public Expenditure NDP Delivery & Reform.
This 12-week AI course was created with a clear mission to equip public sector professionals across Ireland with essential AI skills, empowering them to drive innovation, efficiency and improved service delivery within their organisations. Therefore, this award is not just a win for Krisolis but a testament to the importance of collaborative efforts in advancing digital capabilities within the public sector.
Our AI course, complemented by the expertise of TU Dublin’s academic oversight and quality assessment, covers a comprehensive curriculum designed to demystify and apply AI concepts practically.
Some of the topics discussed in this course include:
- Understanding AI: What AI is and how it can be leveraged to solve real-world challenges.
- Real-world applications of AI: Clarifying misconceptions and showcasing tangible, real-world applications.
- AI Solution Design: Guiding participants through designing and modelling AI-driven solutions.
- Programming Foundations: Hands-on learning with Python and use of essential AI tools.
- Mathematics for AI: Building a strong foundation in the mathematical techniques crucial for AI.
- Ethics in AI: Emphasising responsible AI practices and adherence to ethical guidelines.
Since its launch in 2022, over 120 public sector professionals have successfully completed the course, contributing to the digital transformation of public services throughout Ireland. The skills they gained have been instrumental in fostering AI-driven innovations that make public services more effective and responsive.
This recognition highlights the strength of the public and private sector collaboration.
