Case Study:
Accenture

Accenture Ireland, through its Accenture Analytics Innovation Centre, has an in-house analytics team, which is constantly growing to meet customer demands. Krisolis works with Accenture as part of their analytics graduate training programme.

‘Aoife and Brian were already working with our graduates when I was given the training role. I went on a couple of their courses and was very happy with what I saw. They are exactly what our graduates need.’
Brian McLernon, Data Scientist, Accenture

Graduate Training

Krisolis have a wealth of experience in delivering large analytics projects. They understand the process, and specifically what will be expected of our graduates on client sites,’ Brian McLernon, Data Scientist, Accenture. ‘We don’t want our graduates learning on site – we want them up skilled before they reach a client site, so they deliver value from day one. Krisolis training allows us to do this and protects the Accenture brand.

Krisolis ensures that each intake of graduates is trained in Advanced Analytics, as well as Accenture’s Analytics approach. The training helps graduates to understand how to deliver analytical information to the business in a way they will understand, as well as training them in advanced analytics techniques. Krisolis training fits within Accenture’s overall training programme and ensures that graduates understand the practical issues of delivering an advanced analytics project on site. The training is filled with real-world examples, which show the trainees Accenture’s best practice.

When designing the courses I really concentrate on the real-world examples – the reality of being on site, how to talk to the business, what can go wrong and how to fix it, whereas Brian concentrates on the technical training’ said Aoife D’Arcy, Co-founder and CEO, Krisolis. ‘This means the training ensures that the graduates know the advanced technical side of analytics as well as the reality of delivering a project on site.

We hire some of the brightest and the best, we need to ensure our training builds on their prior knowledge. Krisolis courses are tailored for our people – which means we can get a lot done in one week – rather than sending our staff on several generic courses, Krisolis can deliver in one week what we need and then everyone gets back to work,’ said Brian McLernon, Data Scientist, Accenture.

There are two main advantages to this. Firstly, everyone is getting the same level of core training from day one. Secondly, I save time and money in having our people training for a shorter time,’

SAS, Accenture and Krisolis

Krisolis works with Accenture on all aspects of Advanced Analytics training, including SAS and R.  They deliver SAS training on behalf of SAS, who have a global partnership with Accenture.

SAS has more than a decade of successful partnering with Accenture in Ireland, and Krisolis have helped solidify that relationship,’ said John Farrelly, Regional Director, SAS Ireland. ‘They help us to deliver SAS training into Accenture, giving the Accenture analysts an exceptionally high standard of training using SAS’s world class analytics software.

Our relationship with SAS is a global one, but the training with Krisolis has really made a difference skilling up the graduates in the local Dublin office.  I have got great feedback from the grads on how the SAS courses they do with Krisolis are so much more than just learning coding – the courses are training in how to be an analytics consultant on client site using SAS – how to approach typical problems encountered and what are the key questions to answer’ commented Medb Corcoran, Senior Manager, Accenture.
